Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Evan D (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Schecter Engl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Engl has chosen Trafalgar - Requiem for the Last King as his entrance music. Schecter Engl has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Evan D! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Schecter Engl! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Alec Ball and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Engl stuffs the takedown. Engl misses with a two punch combination.
Engl displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from D. D ducks under a wild hook from Engl. Engl connects with a single shot there. D with a lazy takedown attempt and Engl counters with a lovely straight right hand! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Evan D. That's going to take a lot out of him. Engl fails in his attempt to clinch. A slow jab from Engl misses its intended target. D tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Engl swivels and escapes. D shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Engl sprawls well. Engl wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. D gets slowly back to his feet. Engl scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Engl displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from D.
That's one minute gone in the round. Engl moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. D fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Engl avoids it really well and circles away. Engl lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. D fails miserably with a takedown attempt. D misses with a takedown and Engl counters with a one-two to the body. D is breathing heavily. Engl connects with a right hand. D shakes it off. Engl leaves D with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Engl takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Good standup being displayed there by Engl as he connects with a hook. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A right-left combo lands from Engl. D fails with a takedown attempt. Engl works the jab nicely.
D is rocked! D misses with a takedown and Engl connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Oh D is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Engl rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but D moves out of range and avoids them all easily. A decent looking cross lands there for Engl. BOOM! Engl lands a beautiful left hook that drops D. D tries to recover but Engl is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and D lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Schecter Engl!
