Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ruton is looking to clinch but Santiago is avoiding it.
Bas Ruton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ruton swats away the attempt to clinch by Santiago. Ruton throws a head kick that misses. Ruton throws a series of strikes that have Santiago backpedaling.
It looks like Bobby Santiago has been cut. Ruton has Santiago up against the cage in a clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Santiago wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Ruton gets a trip takedown into half guard. Santiago throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Santiago has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Santiago looking for submissions off his back. Santiago is trying to maintain the position but Ruton is very close to passing his half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ruton stands up out of the half guard. Santiago takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Nice sprawl there from Ruton as Santiago shoots in. Santiago changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ruton tries to avoid it but Santiago manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ruton to the ground. Ruton escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Ruton gets a double leg takedown into Santiago's guard. Ruton gets to his feet - Santiago follows without any prompting. Ruton shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Santiago napping and manages to drive through into side control! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ruton wants to lay and pray for a moment but Santiago keeps working. Santiago tries to buck Ruton off but Ruton is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ruton wants to control but Santiago is keeping him busy. Santiago tries to get back to half guard but can't. Ruton tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Ruton has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Ruton is breathing heavily. Ruton decides to stand back up. Ruton steps back and let's Santiago get back to his feet. Ruton gets a double leg takedown into Santiago's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Santiago throws a couple of heel strikes.
Santiago is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Santiago is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Ruton is aware though and is defending well. Santiago working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ruton doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Santiago is tightening it up a little... Ruton has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Ruton reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Ruton taps out! nice BJJ there by Santiago!
