Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Yakai Ossini (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Louis Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Evans's choice of entrance music: Panasonic Youth by The Dillinger Escape Plan. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Yakai Ossini! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Louis Evans! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Columbo Gatti and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ossini bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Evans is looking for a sweep. Evans wants to control but Ossini postures up. Evans tries to get back to half guard but can't. Ossini is looking to take a break and control but Evans is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Ossini cracks Evans with a big right hand but Evans just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Ossini wants to control but Evans is keeping him busy. Ossini landing strikes. Ossini trying to control the action but Evans is working from the bottom. Evans is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Ossini asserts his dominance and retains side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Evans manages to get back to half guard. Ossini missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Ossini connects with a nice short shot to Evans's temple. Ossini thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Evans's head. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Evans can do anything to dispel that myth. Evans throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Evans has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Ossini is working away from the top position though. Ossini wants to pass the guard but Evans is defending well. Ossini is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Evans wants to control but Ossini is keeping busy and won't allow it. Ossini stops Evans from getting back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Evans is staying active underneath Ossini, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Ossini passes the guard and advances to mount! Evans taking shots to the head. This has been an exciting period of action! Ossini lands a big elbow. BOOM! Ossini connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Evans is rocked! Evans tries to get back to half guard but can't. Evans is still in real trouble! Can Ossini finish him? Ossini looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Evans covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:02 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Yakai Ossini!
