Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nigel Beardwood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Connor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Beardwood comes to the cage accompanied by The Black Angels - Young Men Dead. The crowd seem to be enjoying Connor's choice of entrance music: ac/dc- war machine. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Connor keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Beardwood.
Nigel Beardwood seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Beardwood stuns Connor with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Beardwood fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Beardwood shoots in and drives through. Connor sprawls well.
Connor slips a straight right by Beardwood.
Beardwood misses with a straight right.
Beardwood ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Connor moves away.
Connor thuds a left hand into Beardwood's body.
Beardwood shoots in but no luck this time.

and Connor counters with a body kick that stops Beardwood in his tracks momentarily.
Beardwood is breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Connor lands a leg kick that knocks Beardwood off balance momentarily.
Connor misses with a wild combination.
Connor lands a jab to Beardwood's midsection.
Beardwood's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Connor connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Beardwood scrambles back to his feet.

Connor bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Beardwood.
Connor throws a head kick that Beardwood semi-blocks.
Beardwood shoots in for a takedown but Connor shows good takedown defense.
Beardwood has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Beardwood there as he acknowledges the shot.
Connor is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Connor throws a shot to the body.
Connor takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Connor, right into the meat.
Connor lands a really nice looking cross but Beardwood seems unphased.
Beardwood ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Connor moves away.
A nice inside leg kick there by Connor. That's going to slow Beardwood down.
Connor feints and then cracks Beardwood's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Beardwood down.
Connor works the jab nicely.
Beardwood walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Connor digs a good hook to Beardwood's body.
Beardwood takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Connor comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Beardwood takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Scott Connor is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Connor tests Beardwood's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Connor uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Connor lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Connor has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Oooooh!!! Connor has knocked Beardwood down with a huge combo! Connor steps away and waves a wobbly Beardwood back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Beardwood is rocked!
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Beardwood. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Connor lands a brutal head kick. Beardwood looks out on his feet and Connor throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
