Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Merv Bungay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eamon Dunphy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Merv Bungay! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Eamon Dunphy! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Hirohito Nitta and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dunphy's jab looks to have found its range, popping Bungay under the eye.
It looks like Merv Bungay has been cut. Dunphy takes a jab right on the kisser.
Dunphy with a poor takedown and Bungay counters with a one-two to the body. Dunphy takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Bungay lands with a good body shot. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Dunphy throws a lazy uppercut
and Bungay counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Bungay misses with a wild combination.
Dunphy shoots for a takedown but Bungay saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Dunphy shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bungay defends it nicely. Merv Bungay has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eamon Dunphy. Bungay ducks under a wild hook from Dunphy. Bungay keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Dunphy tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Bungay manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Bungay jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Bungay defending well as Dunphy loads up on a big left hand. Bungay changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dunphy swings for the body but Bungay moves out of range.

Dunphy looks gassed! Dunphy rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
letting Bungay counter with a right hand. Bungay misses with a wild combination.
Bungay thuds his right hand into Dunphy's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Dunphy on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Bungay. Bungay obviously looking to wear him down.
Bungay fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Dunphy has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Bungay lands with an uppercut that bounces Dunphy off the cage and back into rage. Dunphy throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bungay's waist but Bungay gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dunphy off to one side. Bungay throws out a powerful jab.
Dunphy is rocked! Bungay drops Dunphy with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Dunphy! Bungay dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Merv Bungay!
