The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yasuomi Hirokawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tanaka will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Tanaka throws a right and a left that Musasi avoids nicely.
Tanaka shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Musasi as he jumps to the side.
Tanaka wants to slow Musasi down by chopping away at his legs.
Tanaka looks for a takedown but Musasi sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ona Tanaka. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Horrible takedown by Tanaka or perhaps it was just good defense by Musasi which made him look bad.
Tanaka fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Ona Tanaka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Musasi forces Tanaka back against the cage and clinches.
Tanaka fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Musasi misses with a knee strike.

Tanaka is trying to break the clinch but Musasi has him pressed against the cage.

Musasi is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Tanaka is just riding it out for now. Musasi eventually gives up the hold.

Tanaka is not content to let Musasi control the position.

Musasi is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Tanaka with him. Tanaka is trying to defend but Musasi has an arm under the chin now! Tanaka grimaces and is forced to tap out!
