Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Noham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Xiang Li (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Noham kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Chase The Devil. Li has chosen George Lam - A man of determination as his entrance music. Xiang Li has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Thomas Noham!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Xiang Li!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Noham closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Li wants to improve his position but Noham is controlling well.
Noham trying to pass the guard but Li defending well.
Li tries to roll over but Noham keeps him under control.
Still in half guard, Noham seems content to control.
Li is looking for a sweep. Noham is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Noham tries to pass to full mount but Li defends it.
Li tries to roll over but Noham keeps him under control.
Noham seems to be working for a kimura but Li defends the submission attempt.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Noham avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Noham misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Li has his takedown stuffed
and Noham counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Noham has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Li regains guard immediately.
Noham trying to control but Li is working from the bottom.
Li bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Noham's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Noham avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Noham wants to sweep here but Li controlling him for the moment.
Noham is working hard here to advance position.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Noham can't keep his opponent in guard - Li advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Li is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Noham doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Li.
Li looks gassed!
Li is looking for a kimura but Noham is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Li to get the leverage.
Noham throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Noham moves into full guard.
Li stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Noham swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Noham has his foot on Li's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Li works his way back into a safe position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Li gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Li drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Noham sneaks back into half guard.
Li looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Noham is in trouble now - Li has advanced to mount!
Li wants to finish this one by submission but Noham is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Li.
Noham tries to hold on but Li postures up.
Li throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Noham has his hands clasped together but Li breaks the hold and Noham is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Li!
