Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nek Olob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Schnieder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nek Olob! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nick Schnieder! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, George Francis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schnieder shoots for a takedown but Olob saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Good standup being displayed there by Olob as he connects with a hook. Olob uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Olob turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Olob throws a head kick but Schnieder moves out of range.
A head kick misses from Olob. Olob fails in his attempt to clinch. Schnieder ducks right into an uppercut from Olob. Olob misses with a head kick.
Olob is breathing heavily. Olob throws a right hand that Schnieder ducks under and follows up with a left that Schnieder also avoids with ease. The fight stays on the outside here - Olob looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Schnieder looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Olob is fending him off so far but Schnieder persists. Nope, Olob circles away and we're back to standing. Schnieder feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Schnieder is stalling in the full guard. Olob avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Schnieder has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Schnieder advances position into side control! Schnieder is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

This has been an exciting period of action! Schnieder tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Olob's elbow. Olob gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Schnieder.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Olob has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Schnieder has picked Olob up - he's going for a ride! Schnieder dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Schnieder controlling the action here. Let's hope that Schnieder has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Nick Schnieder hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Schnieder closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Schnieder is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Olob will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Olob is working to avoid the ground and pound but Schnieder connects with a decent elbow. Olob on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Olob tries to get out of the position. Schnieder in side control, just content to control the action for now. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Schnieder working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Nick Schnieder dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Schnieder tries to clinch but Olob is having none of it. Olob tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Schnieder manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Schnieder shoots for a takedown but Olob saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Nice cross by Olob. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Schnieder is defended easily by Olob. Schnieder swats away the attempt to clinch by Olob. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Olob uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Schnieder has time to react.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Olob, right into the meat.
Schnieder shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Schnieder takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Schnieder unloading with bombs! Schnieder looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Schnieder lands a heavy elbow. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Schnieder content just to control the position here.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Schnieder controlling the position easily from mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nick Schnieder showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Olob leaves Schnieder with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Schnieder tries for a takedown but Olob sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Nek Olob has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nick Schnieder. Olob throws a head kick but Schnieder moves out of range.

Nice takedown defense from Olob. No joy for Schnieder on that attempt. Schnieder tries to clinch up but Olob circles away and keeps his distance. Nek Olob is winning the standup battle so far. Schnieder drives through with a takedown into guard. Schnieder sitting in guard, not really doing much. Schnieder passes Olob's left leg - he's now in half guard.

No, Olob has managed to free his arm - good work. Schnieder working Olob over with strikes. Nick Schnieder has got the better of the ground game so far. Still in half guard, Schnieder seems content to control. Schnieder is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Olob is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
