Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between The Beastman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Geese Howard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beastman throws a right and a left that both miss.
Howard moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
The Beastman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Howard is looking to slow Beastman down with leg kicks.

Beastman shoots in looking for a takedown. Howard tries to sprawl out of it but Beastman keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Howard manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Beastman throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Howard's waist but Howard gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Beastman off to one side.

Howard tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Howard clinches up with Beastman and pushes him back against the cage.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Howard obliges.

Howard tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Beastman just stands there and leans against the cage.

Howard jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Beastman walks away with a smile on his face. Howard gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Beastman. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Beastman rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Howard moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Howard tries to clinch but Beastman moves out of range.
Howard is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Beastman avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Beastman throws a right hand that Howard ducks under and follows up with a left that Howard also avoids with ease.

Howard bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Beastman works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Howard is trying to control the position but Beastman postures up.
Beastman lands a couple of elbows.

Howard escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Beastman gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Beastman has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Beastman postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Geese Howard dominated that round.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Howard. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
