Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rafal Kozak! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tank McLair! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kozak. McLair throws a one two combo.
It looks like Rafal Kozak has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kozak bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. McLair misses with a double jab
and Kozak counters with a straight right hand. McLair fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kozak avoids it really well and circles away. A jab from McLair finds it's way through Kozak's defenses. McLair misses with a combination
and Kozak counters with a nice double leg into guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. McLair keeping moving, preventing Kozak from controlling successfully. Kozak landing with the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kozak pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. McLair is keeping the position for now. McLair preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Kozak trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Kozak trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Kozak drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and McLair dives on top into guard. McLair really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kozak. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Kozak looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Kozak is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Kozak looking to hit a scissor sweep but McLair is one step ahead there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kozak is looking for a triangle but McLair pushes his legs off easily.
McLair must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. McLair throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kozak works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! McLair throws and elbow that misses. Kozak uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in McLair's guard. Nice move by Kozak! Kozak drops back, looking for a kneebar! McLair looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. McLair looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from McLair! McLair looks up at the clock and then as Kozak takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, McLair smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Kozak avoids any damage from the ground and pound of McLair. Kozak regains half guard. Kozak avoiding damage under a succession of punches from McLair.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McLair thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. McLair throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Kozak is pressing down on McLair's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Kozak looking to sweep here. No luck so far. McLair lands a couple of digs. McLair lands a couple of elbows. Kozak manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. McLair manages to get himself to full guard.
Kozak slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Kozak decides to stand up, so the ref orders McLair to his feet. McLair swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. McLair closes the distance and clinches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! McLair breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
The fight stays on the outside here - McLair looks like he's thinking about clinching though. McLair throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
McLair throws a right and a left that both miss. Kozak ducks under a wild hook from McLair. McLair shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kozak is trying to defend but McLair finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Kozak gets back to full guard.
McLair avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! McLair scoring with some ground and pound. McLair looking to sit in guard and control but Kozak gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Tank McLair will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Rafal Kozak's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Kozak looks for a takedown but McLair sprawls well. Kozak showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from McLair.
McLair bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Kozak's head backwards.
Rafal Kozak's cut is getting worse. McLair missing with a left hand there. Kozak was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. McLair keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
McLair lands a lovely overhand right. Kozak shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as McLair sprawls well. McLair wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kozak gets slowly back to his feet. Kozak throws a looping overhand right but McLair ducks down to avoid it. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. McLair lands a jab to the nose.
That's one minute gone in the round. McLair throws a left and a right that both miss
and Kozak counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps McLair thinking. McLair leaves Kozak with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rafal Kozak. That's going to take a lot out of him. McLair moves into the clinch. McLair breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. McLair closes the distance and pushes Kozak back into the cage. Kozak can't get the takedown.

McLair stuffs the takedown attempt from Kozak. Kozak gets slowly back to his feet. McLair scores with a crisp jab that stopped Kozak in his tracks.
Rafal Kozak's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! McLair wants to clinch. McLair fails with an attempt to clinch.

Jeez, Rafal Kozak's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Rafal Kozak's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
