Botwin is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Little Boxes On The Hillside. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie misses with a takedown attempt - Botwin sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Gracie fails with the takedown
and Botwin counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Botwin throws a nice outside leg kick.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Gracie.

Botwin lands with a kick to the ribs.
Botwin connects with a solid leg kick.

Gracie takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Botwin ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Gracie. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Botwin throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Botwin lands a nice looking kick to the body. Gracie takes a step back to recover.

Botwin throws a sloppy head kick and Gracie moves out of range easily.

Botwin takes the fight into the clinch.

Botwin turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Botwin connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Gracie some visible discomfort.
Gracie gets back to half guard.
Botwin is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Botwin lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Botwin passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Gracie!
