Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Larry Quail (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith has chosen "Beautiful" By Eminem as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smith with a lazy takedown attempt and Quail counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Smith working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Quail doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Quail manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Quail decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Quail shoots in for a double leg but Smith sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. David Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Smith gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Quail to score an easy takedown into full guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Smith isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Quail stacks Smith on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Quail! Smith is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Quail lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
