Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Diego Inamoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John De Vito (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Diego Inamoto! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, John De Vito! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Bruno Hogan and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! De Vito feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. De Vito sitting in guard, not really doing much. Let's hope that De Vito has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. De Vito forces his way into half guard. De Vito stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. A head kick misses from Inamoto. Inamoto is breathing heavily. De Vito shoots in but no luck this time. Inamoto tries to close the distance and clinch but De Vito swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Diego Inamoto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. That's one minute gone in the round. De Vito looking to finish Inamoto with some ground and pound. This is bad for Inamoto! Inamoto is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Inamoto knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for De Vito on the ground. De Vito controlling from the full mount. De Vito prevents Inamoto from getting the reversal. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. De Vito controlling the pace for now. De Vito cracks Inamoto with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
A nice elbow there by De Vito. De Vito with shots to the head and body - Inamoto looks very uncomfortable down there. De Vito landing strikes from the mount and Inamoto is in trouble! That's two minutes gone in the round. De Vito pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. De Vito putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Inamoto has left one of his arms exposed and De Vito doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Inamoto screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
