Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Noriyuki Nayoui (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Doug Harvey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Nayoui might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to nWo Theme. Harvey is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Bitches Brew. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nayoui lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Nayoui is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Harvey uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Nayoui.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Harvey might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Nayoui has got the better of the exchanges.

Harvey is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Nayoui has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Nayoui!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Harvey is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
