Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Remy Hoost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Pembelton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hoost comes into the arena with Man With A Harmonica blaring out of the sound system. Pembelton comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Hail Mary by Tupac kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Remy Hoost!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Pembelton!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Daniel Franklin and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Hoost. No joy for Pembelton on that attempt.
Hoost loads up on a big right hand but Pembelton slips the punch.

Pembelton manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Hoost on his heels. He'll look to pass Hoost's guard now, I'm sure.

Pembelton is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Pembelton loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Hoost wants to stand but Pembelton is controlling the position.
Pembelton in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Hoost knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pembelton on the ground.

Pembelton wants to control from the top but Hoost keeps moving.
Hoost utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Pembelton drops back looking for a leg! Hoost is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hoost manages to kick Pembelton off! Pembelton jumps back into Hoost's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pembelton stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hoost swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Pembelton is pushing down on Hoost's leg trying to pass to half guard. Hoost is fighting to maintain full guard but Pembelton has managed to sneak the leg through.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hoost avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Pembelton.
Pembelton lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Pembelton perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Pembelton missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Pembelton thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Pembelton has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Pembelton connects with a nice short shot to Hoost's temple.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Pembelton seems to be looking for submissions.
Hoost is staying active underneath Pembelton, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Hoost keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hoost is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Pembelton scores with a couple of nice shots.
Pembelton not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Pembelton lands with a punch from half guard.
Pembelton wants to take a breather but Hoost is having none of it.
Hoost avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Pembelton.
Pembelton thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Hoost's head.

Pembelton takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Pembelton throwing shots but Hoost is blocking nicely.

Pembelton maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Hoost could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Pembelton has cracked it and Hoost is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Pembelton!
