Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rodimus Prime! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vitor Belfort! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice jab there from Belfort. A low kick from Belfort misses and Prime counters with a takedown into side control. Prime tries for a kimura but Belfort is defending well. Belfort is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Prime is controlling him well. Prime goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Belfort has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Prime but great work by Belfort. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Prime is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Belfort off and has taken his back! Prime is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Belfort looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands. Prime is looking for the choke from the back position but Belfort is controlling his hands well. Prime looking for the RNC. Prime is persistently looking for the submission but Belfort is defending it well.

He has one arm under the chin but Belfort has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Belfort really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Prime. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Belfort wants to get back to his feet. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Belfort staying busy and making it hard for Prime to control. Belfort defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.

Perhaps he should improve his position first. Belfort looks gassed! Belfort is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Prime tightening his grip on Belfort, looking for the choke. Belfort avoids the strikes from Prime. Prime looking for the RNC. Belfort wants to get back to his feet. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rodimus Prime dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Prime takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Belfort throws a series of punches but Prime avoids them all with ease. Belfort throws a right hand that Prime ducks under and follows up with a left that Prime also avoids with ease. Belfort misses with a double jab
and Prime decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Belfort's guard. Prime won't allow Belfort to get back to his feet. Belfort keeping full guard, as Prime tries to pass. Prime is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Belfort is breathing heavily. Prime won't allow Belfort to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Prime looking to pass the guard. Prime working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Prime throwing strikes but missing. Belfort keeping moving, preventing Prime from controlling successfully. Prime drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Prime jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Prime pushes down on Belfort's leg and manages to get into half guard. Rodimus Prime overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Prime seems to be looking for submissions.
Prime not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Belfort tries to kick Prime off but Prime keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Belfort keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Prime throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Belfort is trying to stand back up but Prime is controlling him
Prime works his way into full mount! Prime wants to finish this one by submission but Belfort is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Prime. Prime postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Belfort looks a forlorn figure.
This has been an exciting period of action! Belfort in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Prime working for a guillotine from mount but Belfort is in no mood to give up. Prime thowing shots but they're missing. Prime working for a submission but Belfort is keeping him at bay.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Prime is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Belfort has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Belfort is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Prime is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Belfort is surviving well by controlling Prime's body position as best he can. Prime wants to control the pace but Belfort is squirming around nicely. Prime looking to secure an arm triangle but Belfort defends it well. Prime throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Prime scoring with strikes but Belfort is staying in there. You get the feeling that Belfort really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Prime looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Belfort's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Prime landing shots from mount. Prime working for a submission but Belfort is keeping him at bay. This has been an exciting period of action! Prime looking to secure an arm triangle but Belfort defends it well. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Belfort is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Rodimus Prime dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Belfort gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Prime drops back looking for a leg! Belfort is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Belfort manages to kick Prime off! Prime jumps back into Belfort's guard. Belfort wants to get back to his feet but Prime is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Prime drops back looking for a leg! Belfort is in trouble here! Belfort takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Prime looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Prime eventually gives up the hold. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Prime missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Prime is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Belfort has managed to free his arm - good work. Belfort blocking the ground and pound attempt from Prime. Prime is working for a submission of some sort.

Prime seems to be working for a kimura but Belfort defends the submission attempt. Prime is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

And that's the end of the fight! Rodimus Prime showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Prime, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
