Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Padraig Keane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paulo Edel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Padraig Keane! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Paulo Edel! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Edel bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Keane is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Edel is controlling him well. Edel has knee on belly and moves into mount. Edel working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Keane regains half guard. Edel is working for a kimura but Keane is defending it quite comfortably.
Edel prevents Keane from standing back up.
Edel is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Edel wants to pass to mount but Keane is defending the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Edel works his way into side control. Keane really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Edel tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Edel has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Edel looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Edel looks gassed! Keane is trying to buck Edel off. Edel tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Keane is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Edel tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Keane is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Edel working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Edel looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Edel is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Keane is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Keane is trying to control Edel's posture but Edel avoids it. Keane is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Edel has just dragged him back down to the mat. Edel is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Keane has escaped the position, nice work there. Keane is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Keane throws a shot from downtown. Edel moves away and avoids it. Keane throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Edel's head. Keane misses with a double jab.
Keane throws a series of punches but Edel moves out of range. Keane throws a sloppy head kick and Edel moves out of range easily. Edel shoots in but Keane avoids the takedown attempt easily. Edel tries to close the distance and clinch but Keane swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Keane connects with a jab. Keane misses with a wild combination.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Keane lands with a slapping head kick. Keane throws a series of punches but Edel avoids them all with ease. Keane looks to land a combination but Edel avoids it well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paulo Edel dominated that round. That's time! Keane's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Keane needs to keep his hands up - Edel had a free shot at his head there. Keane misses with a hook. Padraig Keane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Edel avoids the head kick by Keane.
Edel shoots in looking for a takedown. Keane tries to sprawl out of it but Edel keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Keane manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Edel avoids the head kick by Keane.
Edel scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Keane is in trouble now - Edel has advanced to mount! Keane is controlling an arm, preventing Edel from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Edel has control of Keane's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Keane regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Keane is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Edel wants to finish this one by submission but Keane is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Edel. Edel looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Edel is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Keane has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Keane! Keane avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Edel bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Keane's guard. Edel wants to pass the guard but Keane is keeping the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Keane can't keep his opponent in guard - Edel advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Edel prevents Keane from standing back up.
Edel has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Edel is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Keane is surviving well by controlling Edel's body position as best he can. Edel working for a guillotine from mount but Keane is in no mood to give up. Edel goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Keane is on top in guard.
Edel escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Keane gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Edel working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Keane doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Keane manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Keane preventing the sweep. Edel looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Edel wants to sweep here but Keane controlling him for the moment. Edel looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Keane passes into half guard.
Edel tries to roll over but Keane keeps him under control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Edel is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Edel actively working from the bottom here. Keane is taking a breather. Edel says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Edel wants to improve his position but Keane is controlling well.
Keane wants to stand up but Edel has a hold of him and won't allow it. Keane stands up from half guard. Keane throws a nice looking combination but Edel bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paulo Edel showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action!
Keane throws a right and a left that Edel avoids nicely. Keane throws a lazy uppercut
and Edel counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Keane is looking to stand up but Edel isn't so interested in that idea. Edel is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Keane is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Keane has escaped and now he's on top! Keane decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Edel, up you get! Keane throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Edel counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Edel drops back looking for a leg! Keane is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Keane manages to kick Edel off! Edel jumps back into Keane's guard. Paulo Edel has got the better of the ground game so far. Edel won't allow Keane to sweep him here. Edel drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Edel seems to have locked his on tight now - Keane screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Edel, as he picks up the win!
