The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White takes a swing at Erskine's ribcage but misses.
White lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Erskine takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
White lands a nice hook to Erskine's body. Erskine takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
White just misses with a punch to the body.
Erskine jabbing away but nothing is landing.
White ducks under a wild hook from Erskine.
White dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
White swings and misses with a shot to the body
enabling Erskine to counter with a crisp jab.
Erskine looks to throw the jab but White is out of range.
White fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
White uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Erskine.

Erskine is keen to just control but White is a slippery customer.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if White can do anything to dispel that myth.
White is looking to control Erskine's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can White avoid being mounted?

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

White slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for White. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Erskine is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

White feints and then cracks Erskine's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Erskine down.

and Erskine connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Erskine has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Erskine there as he acknowledges the shot.

White throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Erskine fakes high and swings low for a body shot but White manages to avoid it.

Erskine throws a right hand that White ducks under and follows up with a left that White also avoids with ease.
Erskine is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Some bone on bone action there as Erskine checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
White throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
White punishes Erskine's body with a nice straight punch.
White moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
White does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
White lands a nice looking body shot.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Erskine takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Pure White showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Erskine has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Erskine and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
