Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Wanderson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keith Schafer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva comes into the arena with Usher - More blaring out of the sound system. Keith Schafer has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Wanderson Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Keith Schafer!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Daniel Bishop and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schafer throws a combination. Silva tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Schafer slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Schafer connects with a solid leg kick.
Schafer throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Keith Schafer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Schafer but Schafer pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Schafer throws a head kick that misses.
Schafer throws a head kick but Silva moves out of range.

Silva shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Schafer is pulling down on Silva's head to control his posture.

Silva postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Schafer is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Silva, into his guard.

Silva is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Schafer is aware though and is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Schafer stands up and waves to Silva to follow him.
Schafer shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Silva eats them both and turns towards Schafer to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Schafer lands the left hand.
Schafer lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Schafer fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Silva.
Schafer throws a looping overhand right but Silva ducks down to avoid it.

Schafer throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Schafer fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Silva has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Schafer scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Silva doesn't seem bothered though.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Keith Schafer is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Silva shoots in looking for a takedown but Schafer manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Silva's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Schafer tries to bum rush Silva with a series of wild strikes but Silva uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

The fighters circle momentarily. Schafer darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

A decent looking cross lands there for Schafer.
Silva tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Schafer defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Silva.
Schafer connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Silva moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Schafer has Silva up against the cage in a clinch.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Schafer lands with a shot to the body.
Schafer lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Schafer lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Schafer tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Silva takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Silva ducks right into an uppercut from Schafer.
Silva tries to move into range but Schafer moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Silva walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
A swing and a miss from Schafer.
Schafer throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Silva stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Schafer fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Silva looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Silva changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Schafer tries to avoid it but Silva manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Schafer to the ground. Schafer escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Schafer tries a head kick but it misses.
Silva takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Schafer lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Silva takes one to the chin there.
Schafer paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Schafer lands a jab to the head.
Silva drops his hands momentarily and Schafer takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Schafer scores with a crisp jab that stopped Silva in his tracks.
Schafer has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Schafer lands with a cross.
Schafer has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Schafer thuds a left hand into Silva's body.

Sloppy strikes from Schafer. Those never looked like landing.
Schafer throws a leg kick which misses Silva's front leg but catches the back leg as Silva tries to avoid it.
Schafer takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Schafer moves into range and connects with a jab.
Schafer throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Schafer bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Silva's head.
Schafer scores with a crisp jab that stopped Silva in his tracks.
Schafer cracks Silva with a good jab.
Schafer throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A chopping leg kick lands by Schafer.

Silva with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Schafer to score with a decent uppercut.
Silva is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Schafer throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Schafer tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Silva is able to avoid easily.
Schafer uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Silva has time to react.

I've got Schafer winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
