The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black throws a shot to the body.
Black scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
The crowd cheers as Black lands an impressive looking overhand right. Mars doesn't seem phased though.

Mars moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

No joy there for Black, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Black stalks Mars and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Mars's face. Mars staggers backwards, shaken.
Black goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Mars tries to clinch but Black is having none of it.

Mars moves forwards but Black connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Mars changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Black tries to avoid it but Mars manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Black to the ground. Black escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Black looks to land a combination but Mars avoids it well.
Black throws a nice looking combination but Mars bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Mars wants to clinch up but Black keeps it at a distance.
Black scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Black throws a hook but Mars blocks it.
A looping hook to the body misses from Mars. Black does a little dance to reset his feet.
Mars takes the fight into the clinch.
Black lands a right hand that snaps the head of Mars backwards.

Black escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Black throws a nice looking combination but Mars bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Black lands a left and a right that send Mars crashing to the mat, dazed. Black thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Black is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Black lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Mars head around and knocks him out cold! Black hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
