Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Masaki Sumitani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kazuo Nakamura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Masaki Sumitani has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Masaki Sumitani! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kazuo Nakamura! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yuuki Gou and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nakamura looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sumitani is fending him off so far but Nakamura persists. Nope, Sumitani circles away and we're back to standing. Sumitani looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Nakamura shoots in but Sumitani avoids the takedown attempt easily. Nakamura shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Sumitani counters with an inside leg kick. Masaki Sumitani has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kazuo Nakamura. Nakamura will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Nakamura has his takedown stuffed and Sumitani counters with a right hand to the body. Nakamura shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Sumitani as he avoids it easily. Nakamura shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Sumitani pinned against the cage. Sumitani gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Sumitani lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Nakamura looks gassed! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sumitani lands with a kick to the temple. Nakamura shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Nakamura shoots in and drives through. Sumitani sprawls well. Nakamura takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nakamura takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Nakamura misses with a takedown attempt - Sumitani sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Sumitani throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Nakamura's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Sumitani dives in looking to finish as Nakamura flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Sumitani's strikes! Sumitani is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Nakamura's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Nakamura was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Masaki Sumitani!
