Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ralph Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Senior Los Mentos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Senior Los Mentos!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Robert Douchet and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Los Mentos slips under a jab.
Los Mentos dives in and grabs Gracie's left leg, looking for a takedown. Gracie pushes down on Los Mentos's head and hops out.
Los Mentos shoots in but Gracie avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Los Mentos moves out of range of the strikes.
Los Mentos falls off balance throwing a combination
and Gracie counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Los Mentos thinking.
Los Mentos gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Gracie connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Ralph Gracie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Senior Los Mentos.
Gracie closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Gracie has hold of Los Mentos's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Los Mentos seems comfortable defending it but Gracie has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Los Mentos is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Los Mentos is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Gracie couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Ralph Gracie!
