Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Van Wilder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gilbert Aoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Aoki's choice of entrance music: Prodigy - Breathe. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilder paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Wilder scores with a head kick.
Wilder just misses with a punch to the body.
Wilder lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Wilder throws a low kick but Aoki avoids it.
Wilder throws a hook but Aoki blocks it.
Wilder misses with a double jab.
Aoki takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Aoki closes the distance and clinches up with Wilder, looking for a takedown. Aoki pushes Wilder against the cage but Wilder circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Van Wilder seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Van Wilder has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gilbert Aoki.

No joy there for Wilder, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Aoki is trying desperately to land a takedown but Wilder is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Aoki.

Aoki on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Wilder throws a lazy right hand but Aoki sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Aoki walks into a straight right hand from Wilder.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Wilder, as that shot connected.
Wilder lunges at Aoki with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Aoki's hand.
Wilder throws a hook but Aoki avoids it easily.

Aoki shoots for a double leg takedown but Wilder sprawls well. He's pushed Aoki's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Aoki walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

The crowd cheers as Wilder lands an impressive looking overhand right. Aoki doesn't seem phased though.

Wilder shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Aoki shoots in for a takedown but Wilder shows good takedown defense.
Wilder misses with a left hand
so Aoki counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Wilder wants to get back to his feet but Aoki is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Aoki is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Wilder is looking to stand up but Aoki isn't so interested in that idea.
Aoki throws a big right hand that misses.
Aoki slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Wilder knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Aoki on the ground.
Aoki stops Wilder from standing up.

Aoki stands up over Wilder, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Aoki loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Aoki is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Wilder is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Wilder has escaped and now he's on top!

Aoki has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Wilder doesn't defend quickly enough and Aoki has managed to lock this one up! Can Wilder escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Aoki on a fantastic submission victory.
