Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Duane McKay! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anderson McLane! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Alan Glass and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McKay leaves McLane with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. McLane stuffs the takedown attempt from McKay. McKay gets slowly back to his feet. McKay takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. McLane shoots in but McKay avoids the takedown attempt easily. McKay shoots in looking for a takedown. McLane tries to sprawl out of it but McKay keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. McLane manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. McLane looks for a takedown but McKay sprawls well. Duane McKay has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anderson McLane. The fight stays on the outside here - McKay looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
That's one minute gone in the round. McLane tries to score a power double leg takedown but McKay sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten McLane somewhat. McKay forces McLane back against the cage and clinches. McKay is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. McKay drops down looking for an ankle pick but McLane pulls his leg out and moves away.

McKay tries to close the distance and clinch but McLane swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. McLane fails with a takedown attempt. McLane wants to clinch up but McKay keeps it at a distance. McKay darts in trying to clinch and McLane holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McKay tries to score a body lock takedown but McLane shows good agility there to stay on his feet. McLane drops to a knee looking for a takedown but McKay gets the underhooks and prevents it.
McLane is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. McLane looks gassed! McLane is trying to work for a single leg takedown but McKay pulls him back up using the underhooks. McLane has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. McKay avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. McKay is trying to break the clinch but McLane has him pressed against the cage. McKay is looking to break free of the clinch but McLane has double underhooks. McKay tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. McLane just stands there and leans against the cage. McKay tries to break the clinch but McLane is controlling the position. McKay tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
McKay tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. McLane smiles and moves away.

That's four minutes gone in the round. McKay clinches up with McLane and pushes him back against the cage. McKay landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. McKay obliges. McLane is looking for a takedown up against the cage. McKay gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! McLane prevents a body shot from McKay. McLane has McKay pressed against the cage, preventing McKay from circling away and getting back to striking at range. McKay has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. McLane is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. McLane blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
McKay breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

McLane moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. McKay tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but McLane was well out of range. Poor timing from McKay. McLane circles away from the clinch attempt.
McKay tries to clinch and McLane counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. McKay might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. McKay slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. McLane postures up in McKay's guard and throws a big left but McKay blocks it. McKay is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. McLane trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. McLane thows a big elbow that misses. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McLane is breathing heavily. This has been an exciting period of action! McLane trying to control the position from guard on top but McKay is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. McKay tries to land a sweep but no joy.

McKay utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. McLane throwing strikes from guard but McKay blocks nicely. McKay could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. That was a close second round but I would say that Duane McKay will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

McLane fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but McKay avoids it really well and circles away. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from McKay. McLane takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

And that's the end of the fight! Duane McKay showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for McKay, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
