Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jamal Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaron Slice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, George Francis and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slice throws a series of punches but Jones moves out of range.
A lazy left from Slice finds it's target.
Slice looks to land a combination but Jones avoids it well.
Jones drives through and clinches with Slice against the cage.
Slice escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Jones shoots in for a takedown but Slice shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Slice's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Jones lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Jones takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Slice is bucking up trying to escape but Jones cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
