Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tim Blast! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pain Peters! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blast throws a shot to the body.
Blast lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Blast. Blast looks to throw the jab but Peters is out of range. Peters throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Blast's waist but Blast gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Peters off to one side. Blast pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Blast lands with a shot to the body. A big left from Blast misses. Tim Blast seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Blast misses with a wild body shot. Blast takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Peters changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Blast tries to avoid it but Peters manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Blast to the ground. Blast escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Blast connects with a good right hand that stumbles Peters. Peters circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Peters fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Tim Blast has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pain Peters. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Blast stuffs the takedown. No luck with that takedown attempt from Peters.
That's one minute gone in the round. Peters fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Blast lands a slapping body shot.
Blast moves away from the strike by Peters. Blast connects with a crisp jab. Blast fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Blast changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Blast works the jab nicely. Peters avoids the body shot from Blast.
Peters seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Blast shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Peters is backing up but Blast catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Peters covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Blast Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tim Blast!
