Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Peter Walter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Noah Qualls! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Daniel Franklin and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Qualls scoring well with a low kick there.
Walter wants to clinch up but Qualls keeps it at a distance. Walter fails with an attempt to clinch.
Qualls swats away the attempt to clinch by Walter. Walter tries to clinch but Qualls moves out of range. Walter avoids the body shot from Qualls.
Qualls swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Walter doesn't manage to clinch there - Qualls circles away.

Walter closes the distance and pushes Qualls back into the cage. Walter throws a knee to the head but misses.
Qualls jumps into guard, dragging Walter to the mat.
Qualls has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Walter can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Qualls working for a triangle but Walter defends it easily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Qualls avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Qualls has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Walter can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Walter scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Walter scoring with punches to the head and body. Walter is working Qualls over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Qualls had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Walter defends it easily. Qualls keeping full guard, as Walter tries to pass. Qualls escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Walter gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. This has been an exciting period of action! Qualls throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Walter escapes and throws Qualls's legs to the side, diving into side control!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Walter is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Qualls knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Qualls gets back to half guard. Walter seems to be looking for submissions.
Walter takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Qualls looking for a kimura from the bottom but Walter passes into side control! Walter scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Qualls to see if he's OK.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Walter wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Qualls, who protects the arm well. Qualls manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Qualls looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Qualls on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Qualls is pressing down on Walter's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Walter has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Qualls looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Walter cracks Qualls with a solid left hand. Walter thows a big elbow that misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Walter postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Walter lands a couple of elbows. Walter is sitting in close to Qualls's body. Qualls has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Walter is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Walter is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Qualls.
