Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dexter Dalit!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wally Lewis!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dalit fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Lewis throws a hook but Dalit avoids it easily.

and Dalit counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Dalit uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lewis.

and Dalit decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Lewis's guard.

Dalit stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lewis swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dalit cracks Lewis with a big right hand but Lewis just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Dalit misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dexter Dalit dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

and Dalit cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Lewis stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lewis wants it to stay on the feet.

Lewis takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Lewis throws out a loose jab but Dalit uses good head movement to avoid it.
Dalit staying out of range there.
Dalit tries for a takedown but Lewis sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dexter Dalit. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lewis misses the shot to the body.
Lewis cracks Dalit with a good jab.


It looks like Dexter Dalit has been cut.

and Dalit connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Dalit tests Lewis's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Lewis on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Lewis drops Dalit with a straight right hand, right on the button! Lewis follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:04 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Wally Lewis!
