Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Feiticeiro Cintopreto! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Zarek Reschke! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Daniel Cesar and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cintopreto doesn't succeed with the takedown and Reschke counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Cintopreto blocks a head kick by Reschke.
Cintopreto tries for a takedown but Reschke circles away easily and Reschke counters with a leg kick. Cintopreto shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Reschke as he avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Feiticeiro Cintopreto. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cintopreto shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Reschke moves into the clinch. Reschke utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Reschke is struggling to control the position. Crunch! Reschke slams his shin into Cintopreto's torso. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Cintopreto. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Reschke scores with a head kick. But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Cintopreto, into his guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Reschke has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Cintopreto is proving hard to escape from. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Zarek Reschke showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
