Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chico Grande (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dante Turmoil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grande comes into the arena with Maestre - Calles De Medellín blaring out of the sound system. Dante Turmoil has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Chico Grande's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turmoil moves out of range of the strikes.
Grande misses with a hook. Turmoil ducked under it nicely.
Grande comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Grande connects with a good right hand that stumbles Turmoil. Turmoil circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Turmoil blocks the body kick.
Turmoil ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Grande moves away.
Turmoil throws a right hand that Grande ducks under and follows up with a left that Grande also avoids with ease.
Grande misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Turmoil.
A combination from Turmoil does no damage.
Turmoil misses the shot to the body.
Turmoil dives in and grabs Grande's left leg, looking for a takedown. Grande pushes down on Turmoil's head and hops out.
Grande uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Turmoil has time to react.

Grande scores with a jab to the body.
Grande lands a nice shot to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Grande feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Turmoils jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Turmoil is defended easily by Grande.
Turmoil ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Grande moves away.

Turmoil fails with a takedown attempt.
Chico Grande has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dante Turmoil.
Turmoil takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
A combination from Turmoil does no damage.
Grande throws out a loose jab but Turmoil uses good head movement to avoid it.
Grande throws a series of punches but Turmoil moves out of range.
Grande cracks Turmoil with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Turmoil looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Grande lands with an overhand left.
Turmoil takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Grande feints a jab promting Turmoil to slip. Grande then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Turmoil slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Turmoil needs to keep his hands up - Grande had a free shot at his head there.

Turmoil takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Grande throws a head kick that half lands.
Grande cracks Turmoil with a good jab.
Grande bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Turmoil's head.
Turmoil with a poor takedown
and Grande cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Grande scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Grande throws a combination. Turmoil tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Nice cross by Grande.
Turmoil throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Turmoil throws a series of punches but Grande moves out of range.
Chico Grande is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Turmoil looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Turmoil throws a right and a left that Grande avoids nicely.
Turmoil tries to bum rush Grande with a series of wild strikes but Grande uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Turmoil looks gassed!
Turmoil takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Turmoil takes one on the button.
Grande works over Turmoil's head and body with a nice combination.
Turmoil is trying desperately to land a takedown but Grande is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Turmoil.

Turmoil looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Turmoil throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Grande.
Grande is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Turmoil takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Turmoil fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Grande lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Turmoil has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
Turmoil shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Grande pinned against the cage. Grande gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Grande thumps Turmoil with a low kick.
Grande slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Turmoil fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Grande cracks Turmoil with an open hand slap.
Turmoil takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Turmoil on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A left and a right from Turmoil both land. Nice combination.

Grande lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Turmoil is rocked!
Turmoil walks into a left hand.
Turmoil is still on wobbly legs! Can Grande finish him?
Grande throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
A head kick by Grande - that's a beauty! Turmoil is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Grande can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Chico Grande!
