PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gee Damn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damien Satan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Satan comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Bullet For My Valentine - Hit The Floor kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Gee Damn has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Damien Satan!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Chris Downing and Tiny Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A shot to the liver by Satan. Beautiful body shot.
Damn moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Damn throws a hook to the side of Satan's head but Satan sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Damn pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Damn slaps away a takedown attempt from Satan, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Satan misses with a low kick as Damn jumps back.
Damn tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Damn jabs Satan right on the nose. Satan blinks but takes it well.
Satan tries to score a power double leg takedown but Damn sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Satan somewhat.
Satan has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Damn.
Satan fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Gee Damn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Damien Satan.

Damn has closed the distance and engaged Satan in a clinch.

Damn cracks Satan with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Damn tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Satan manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Satan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Damn's waist but Damn gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Satan off to one side.
Damn connects with a leg kick. Satan looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Damn walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Satan checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Satan throws a half hearted mid kick.
Damn just misses with a punch to the body.
Satan scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Damn lands a slapping body shot.
Damn doesn't manage to clinch there - Satan circles away.

Damn lands a left hand that snaps the head of Satan backwards.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Satan.
Damn swings wildly with an uppercut but Satan uses good head movement to avoid it.

Satan is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Still in the clinch, Damn scores with a nice short uppercut.
Satan wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Damn has him pressed against the cage.
Damn lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Damn creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Satan jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Damn walks away with a smile on his face. Satan gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Satan tries to work over Damn's front leg with a kick but Damn checks it.
Damn moves in looking to clinch but Satan pushes him off.
Satan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Satan takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Satan misses with a kick to the body.
Damn checks a low kick from Satan.
Satan gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
A chopping leg kick lands by Damn.

Damn tries to throw a body punch but Satan avoids it by throwing Damn back against the cage.

Damn lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Some bone on bone action there as Damn checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Satan is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Damn screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
