The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lambert looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Miragliani is fending him off so far but Lambert persists. Nope, Miragliani circles away and we're back to standing.
Lambert throws a jab when Miragliani was well out of range.
Miragliani leaves Lambert with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Miragliani throws a quick inside leg kick.
Miragliani lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

It looks like Gauthier Lambert has been cut.
Miragliani sizes up Lambert with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lambert tries to score a power double leg takedown but Miragliani sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lambert somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gauthier Lambert. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lambert on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Lambert is breathing heavily.
Lambert chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Miragliani can pounce on him.
Lambert tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Lambert takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Miragliani scores with a nice right hand.

Miragliani has Lambert up against the cage in a clinch.

Miragliani escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Lambert. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Miragliani connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Lambert! He's out on his feet! Miragliani rushes in and drops Lambert with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
