Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Leon Hoffman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 1, fighting out of New York, Henry Goldberg! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, John Kavanagh and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Goldberg dodges the punch combination from Hoffman.
Hoffman throws a jab when Goldberg was well out of range. Hoffman lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Goldberg looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. The fight moves into the clinch position. A battle for position here, against the cage. Goldberg drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Hoffman gets the underhooks and prevents it.

That's one minute gone in the round. Goldberg turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Goldberg manages to end up in side control. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Goldberg just content to control the position. Goldberg has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Hoffman takes the fight into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hoffman turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Hoffman manages to end up in side control. Hoffman swings around for an armbar but Goldberg sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Hoffman's guard. Goldberg slips nicely into half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Goldberg works his foot free and advances to mount. Goldberg content just to control the position here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hoffman stops Goldberg from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better. Goldberg controlling his opponent. Hoffman is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Goldberg tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Hoffman has given up his back here. Will Goldberg look for the submission or keep pounding away?
Goldberg trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Hoffman doesn't escape. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. You can see the frustration on Hoffman's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Goldberg is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! Hoffman is tapping out! This one is all over!
