The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lindros thows a body shot but no joy.
Itaniemi throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Itaniemi pushes Lindros away with a front kick.
Lindros misses the shot to the body.
Itaniemi misses the shot to the body.
Lindros throws a right and a left that both miss.
Itaniemi throws a head kick that half lands.

It looks like Eric Lindros has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Itaniemi lands an overhand right.
Itaniemi darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Itaniemi punishes Lindros's body with a nice straight punch.
Lindros misses with a low kick as Itaniemi jumps back.

The fighters circle momentarily. Itaniemi darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Itaniemi connects with a body shot that sends Lindros's belly button to the back.

Itaniemi takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Itaniemi takes a kick to the side of the head.

Lindros connects with an inside leg kick.
Itaniemi is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Lindros.
Itaniemi feints and then cracks Lindros's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Lindros down.
Itaniemi lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Itaniemi tries to bum rush Lindros with a series of wild strikes but Lindros uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Lindros swings for the body but Itaniemi moves out of range.

Itaniemi throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Itaniemi lands a nice looking body shot.
Lindros moves out of range of the strikes.
Itaniemi circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Lindros drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Itaniemi follows Lindros to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
