The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boyka will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Boyka fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Boyka shoots in looking for a takedown. Mama tries to sprawl out of it but Boyka keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mama manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Mama displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Boyka.

Mama is pushing Boyka up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Boyka tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Mama.
Mama connects with a knee to the head.
Mama tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
A bit of stalling here from Mama.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Joe Mama.

Boyka shoots in and gets a takedown into Mama's guard.
Mama wants to stand up but Boyka is controlling him.
Boyka passes Mama's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mama is trying to stand.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Mama is looking to get back to is feet but Boyka passes into side control.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Mama tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Boyka shoots in and bounces Mama off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Boyka drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Boyka jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Mama is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Boyka is controlling him.
Boyka passes into half guard.
Boyka works his way into full mount!
Mama has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Mama is trying to get back to his feet but Boyka has full control of the position and if anything, Mama has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Mama really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Boyka. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Boyka working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Mama is doing well to defend. Boyka seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Mama is forced to tap and this one is over!
