Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kurtis McLean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lance Bass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lance Bass has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Kurtis McLean's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kurtis McLean!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lance Bass!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Anthony Taglia and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bass shoots in looking for a takedown. McLean tries to sprawl out of it but Bass keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. McLean manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
McLean ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
A left lands for McLean.

McLean moves into range and clinches up with Bass.
McLean tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for McLean.
McLean lands a hook to the side of the head.

Bass gets a trip takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

That's one minute gone in the round.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Bass missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
McLean is trying to get back to full guard.
Bass thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed McLean's head.
McLean on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Bass connects with a nice short shot to McLean's temple.
McLean is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

McLean looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Bass lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Bass lands a nice short elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bass is looking to take a break and control but McLean is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Bass is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so McLean is just riding it out for now. Bass eventually gives up the hold.
McLean is trying to get back to full guard.
Bass working the head and body with strikes.
Bass looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks McLean with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

McLean looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Bass throwing shots but McLean is blocking nicely.

Bass missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Bass throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

McLean is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Bass pulls his head out easily.

McLean is looking to control Bass's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can McLean avoid being mounted?
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Bass lands a nice short elbow.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bass is looking to take a break and control but McLean is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Bass lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Bass lands a nice short elbow.
Nice strikes from Bass there.
Bass winds up and cracks McLean with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Bass is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.


McLean is rocked!
McLean moves into full guard.
Oh McLean is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bass with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Bass postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! McLean covers up, he's hurt! Bass keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Bass and the ref steps in to end the fight! Bass can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lance Bass!
