Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kung Lao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gregori Vladivostok (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lao comes to the cage accompanied by Mortal Kombat-Techno Kombat. Vladivostok has chosen Goodbye Sober Day - Mr Bungle as his entrance music. Gregori Vladivostok has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kung Lao!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gregori Vladivostok!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lao circles away from the clinch attempt.
Gregori Vladivostok seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vladivostok tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Lao manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Lao slips a jab from Vladivostok.
Vladivostok works over Lao's head and body with a nice combination.
Vladivostok waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Lao.
Vladivostok fails to land with a series of punches.
Vladivostok's jab looks to have found its range, popping Lao under the eye.
Lao avoids a punch combination nicely.
Vladivostok misses with a hook. Lao ducked under it nicely.

and Lao counters with a stiff right hand.
Lao misses with a few strikes there.

Lao shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Vladivostok's guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Vladivostok can do anything to dispel that myth.

Lao closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Lao lands in his opponent's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lao bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Vladivostok's head.
Gregori Vladivostok is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Vladivostok lands with a right hand.
Lao lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Lao is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Vladivostok.

Vladivostok keeping moving, preventing Lao from controlling successfully.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Lao is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lao accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Lao sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Vladivostok's guard.
Lao throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Lao is pressing down on Vladivostok's thigh, looking to free his foot. Vladivostok is holding on for now.
Lao passes to side control.
Lao is looking to take a break and control but Vladivostok is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Lao tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Lao working the ground and pound but Vladivostok is defending the strikes.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Lao postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Lao misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Vladivostok misses with a series of wild punches.
Vladivostok throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Vladivostok connects with a right hand. Lao shakes it off.
Vladivostok thows a body shot but no joy.
Vladivostok tries to clinch up.
Lao tries to score a power double leg takedown but Vladivostok sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lao somewhat.

Gregori Vladivostok is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Lao cracks the inside of Vladivostok's front leg.
Vladivostok swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Lao shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Vladivostok wants to get back to his feet.
Lao thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Kung Lao overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Still in half guard, Lao seems content to control.
Lao's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Lao lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Lao takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Still in half guard, Lao seems content to control.
Lao has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Vladivostok blocking the ground and pound attempt from Lao.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kung Lao showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Lao has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
