Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roberto Hernando (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maria Fenia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fenia is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: GLADIATOR. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hernando tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Fenia was well out of range. Poor timing from Hernando.
Hernando throws out a powerful jab.
It looks like Maria Fenia has been cut.
Fenia looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hernando is fending him off so far but Fenia persists. Nope, Hernando circles away and we're back to standing.
Roberto Hernando seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

No joy there for Hernando, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hernando ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Fenia looks gassed!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Fenia is defended easily by Hernando.
Hernando finds Fenia's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Fenia flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Hernando lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Fenia will be OK.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Roberto Hernando!
