Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ben Sweeney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rj McLovin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McLovin is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Nas - Etherl. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Ben Sweeney!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Rj McLovin!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Ackerman and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McLovin instigates a clinch.
McLovin effectively controlling the action here.

Sweeney drags the fight down to the ground.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Sweeney looking to control.

Sweeney has his foot on McLovin's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. McLovin works his way back into a safe position though.

McLovin decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Sweeney, up you get!
McLovin moves in looking to clinch but Sweeney pushes him off.

McLovin has taken the fight to the clinch.
McLovin is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Sweeney has picked McLovin up - he's going for a ride! Sweeney dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

McLovin manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Sweeney tightens his grip and picks McLovin up, before dumping him to the ground. McLovin manages to land in guard.

McLovin pushes Sweeney off and scrambles back to his feet.

Sweeney darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

McLovin manages to escape and get back to his feet!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Come on McLovin - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
McLovin continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up.

Sweeney drags the fight down to the ground.
McLovin wanted to stand there but Sweeney had control of the position.

McLovin gets to his feet - Sweeney follows without any prompting.

McLovin fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sweeney, pushing him back against the cage.
McLovin taking a break, stalling in the clinch.

Sweeney pulls guard.

McLovin decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Sweeney, up you get!

McLovin forces Sweeney back against the cage and clinches.
McLovin content to slow the pace in the clinch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Rj McLovin.
McLovin tries to close the distance and clinch but Sweeney swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

McLovin wants to get back to his feet.
McLovin is not content to let Sweeney control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McLovin tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
McLovin is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
McLovin is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
McLovin is squirming around, avoiding Sweeney's attempts to control the action.

Sweeney looking for a guillotine from mount but McLovin is having none of it.

McLovin somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet!

Sweeney decides to pull guard.

Sweeney working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because McLovin has passed into half guard!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

McLovin decides to stand and escape the position.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Rj McLovin.

McLovin gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
McLovin fails with an attempt to clinch.
McLovin is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
McLovin wants to clinch but Sweeney slips to the side

and Sweeney counters with a nice double leg into side control. McLovin won't be happy with that.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Sweeney is looking to take a break and control but McLovin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
McLovin is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Sweeney has just dragged him back down to the mat.

McLovin wants to get back to his feet but Sweeney drags him back down.

Sweeney wants to lay and pray for a moment but McLovin keeps working.

McLovin throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
McLovin is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Sweeney looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for McLovin!
McLovin wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Sweeney looking to control but McLovin is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Ben Sweeney overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sweeney is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because McLovin is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
McLovin is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

A close second round but Rj McLovin will probably get the nod - 10:9.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!



McLovin gets a clinch.
McLovin is pushing Sweeney up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sweeney manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Sweeney has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. McLovin is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Sweeney.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Sweeney is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

The referee is keeping an eye on McLovin - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
