Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tony Jaa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vince Mimsy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jaa's entrance music is Search and Destroy. A fine choice. Mimsy has chosen Dropkick Murphys - Johnny, I Hardly Knew Ya as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tony Jaa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Vince Mimsy! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Steve Erwin and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jaa throws a leg kick but Mimsy sees it coming and moves out of range. Good shot there by Jaa. Mimsy throws a big shot that misses. Jaa scores with a kick to the body.
Mimsy throws a good cross that connects.
Mimsy shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jaa defends it nicely. Jaa moves into the clinch. Mimsy lands with a short head shot on the inside. Jaa escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Mimsy dodges the punch combination from Jaa.
Jaa lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
That's one minute gone in the round. A head kick misses from Jaa. A slapping leg kick lands for Jaa.
Mimsy scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Mimsy misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Jaa counters with an outside leg kick.
Jaa clinches with his opponent.
Jaa tries a body shot but Mimsy blocks it.
Jaa scores with a knee to the head.
Jaa tries to land a knee to the head but Mimsy blocks with his arms.
Mimsy ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Mimsy no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Jaa is looking to work some ground and pound but Mimsy has wrist control. Jaa wants to pass the guard but Mimsy is keeping the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mimsy controlling Jaa's posture.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jaa throwing strikes from guard but Mimsy blocks nicely. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Mimsy looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jaa is one step ahead there. Mimsy lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Jaa!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jaa wants to hold on but Mimsy pushes him away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jaa is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Jaa sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Mimsy landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jaa is not content to let Mimsy control the position. Jaa trying to control from the bottom.
Jaa has his hands clasped together around Mimsy's back. He's all about the action. Mimsy is taking a breather. Jaa says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Jaa is trying to maintain the position but Mimsy is very close to passing his half guard. Jaa gets back to full guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mimsy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jaa swivels though and keeps the full guard. Jaa is pulling down on Mimsy's head to control his posture. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tony Jaa dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Jaa takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. A looping hook to the body misses from Jaa. Mimsy does a little dance to reset his feet. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Jaa. Jaa lands with a right hand. Mimsy wants to slow Jaa down by chopping away at his legs. Vince Mimsy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mimsy throws a chopping leg kick but Jaa manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Jaa steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Mimsy. Mimsy closes the distance and clinches. Mimsy is looking to control Jaa's arms but Jaa gets an underhook and turns him. Now Mimsy has his back to the cage. Jaa is pressed up against the cage. Mimsy has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Jaa down to the mat. Jaa avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Jaa scores with a head kick. Mimsy tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Mimsy throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jaa is looking to land body kicks. Jaa throws the kick towards the body but Mimsy avoids it. Jaa lands with a straight right. Mimsy didn't see that one coming. Mimsy takes the fight into the clinch. Mimsy cracks Jaa with a nice body shot. Mimsy is looking to control Jaa's arms but Jaa gets an underhook and turns him. Now Mimsy has his back to the cage. Mimsy lands a shoulder strike. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Jaa as Mimsy tries to tie him up. Jaa misses with a knee to the head. Jaa missing with knees to the body.
Mimsy works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Jaa with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Mimsy lands a right hand that snaps the head of Jaa backwards. Mimsy manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jaa throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Mimsy blocks it with crossed arms. Jaa missing with knees to the body.
Jaa lands a knee to the head.
Mimsy misses with a punch to the body.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Mimsy takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Jaa escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jaa throws a right hand that Mimsy ducks under and follows up with a left that Mimsy also avoids with ease. Jaa throws a half hearted mid kick. Mimsy fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jaa manages to avoid it. A jab from Mimsy finds it's way through Jaa's defenses. Mimsy thows a body shot but no joy. Mimsy jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Jaa checks a leg kick. Jaa takes the fight into the clinch. Jaa is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Jaa obliges. Mimsy is breathing heavily. Nice body punch from Jaa - that landed with a thud.
Jaa's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Jaa tries to land a front kick but Mimsy steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Mimsy gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Jaa manages to break the clinch.
Jaa takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jaa takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Jaa fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mimsy shoots for a takedown but Jaa saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Jaa connects with an inside leg kick. Jaa throws a head kick that half lands.
Jaa throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Jaa lands with a nice body kick. Mimsy takes a body punch but keeps moving. Mimsy gets tackled into the cage by Jaa. Jaa maintains the clinch. Jaa lands a nice knee to the body. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Jaa scores with a knee to the head.
Tony Jaa has scored more points in the clinch so far. Mimsy takes a knee right on the jaw!
Jaa landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Jaa lands a good knee to the midsection. Mimsy won't want to take too many of those. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A nice leg kick lands there from Jaa. Jaa finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Jaa.
Jaa moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Jaa throws a half hearted mid kick. Jaa throws a head kick but Mimsy moves out of range.
Mimsy dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Tony Jaa is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Mimsy lands a nice looking body shot.
Jaa connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. A leg kick checked by Mimsy. Mimsy takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mimsy closes the distance and pushes Jaa back into the cage. Jaa connects with a knee to the head.
Jaa breaks the clinch.
Mimsy fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Jaa on the side of the head. Mimsy closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Jaa to the mat! Jaa manages to get full guard. Jaa working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mimsy doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mimsy manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Jaa holds on and takes a little breather. Mimsy pushing down on Jaa's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Jaa wants to improve his position but Mimsy is controlling well.
Vince Mimsy has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jaa has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Mimsy is working away from the top position though. Mimsy is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Jaa! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Jaa is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Mimsy raining down hammerfists from mount. Jaa is in a horrible position here. Mimsy smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Jaa is looking to improve his position but Mimsy isn't that keen on the idea. Jaa is bucking up trying to escape but Mimsy cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mimsy lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Mimsy has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Mimsy has control of Jaa's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Jaa regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Mimsy controlling his opponent. Mimsy avoids the attempt from Jaa to control. Tony Jaa is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Mimsy tries to control but Jaa wriggling away.

Mimsy controlling from mount. Jaa tries to hold on but Mimsy pushes him away. Vince Mimsy has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Mimsy prevents Jaa from getting the reversal. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jaa tries to hold on but Mimsy postures up. Jaa prevents any damage by holding on tight. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Mimsy with good strikes from the mount here!
And that's the end of the fight! Vince Mimsy comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Jaa has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
