Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jason Conley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Genma Saotome (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Genma Saotome will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A bone on bone clash there as Saotome blocks the leg kick.

Conley gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Conley has had enough of the clinch but Saotome keeps him there for the moment.

Conley breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Conley rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Saotome moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Saotome shoots in but Conley avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Saotome shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Conley pinned against the cage. Conley gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Saotome shoots in and drives through. Conley sprawls well.

Conley tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Saotome paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Conley is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Saotome is controlling him.

Saotome has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Conley is proving hard to escape from.

Conley is working an open guard so Saotome takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Saotome takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Saotome jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Conley walks away with a smile on his face. Saotome gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

You get the feeling that Conley really doesn't like being in this position too much.
BOOM! Saotome connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Conley might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Saotome is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Conley to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Conley shrugs it off.

Saotome throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Conley has his hands clasped together but Saotome breaks the hold and Conley is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Saotome!
