Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Anderson Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Money Maker!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Felipe Paraventi and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Maker is fending him off so far but Silva persists. Nope, Maker circles away and we're back to standing.
Money Maker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Silva showed some decent athleticism there.
Silva winds up and cracks Maker with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Maker moves into full guard.
Maker bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Silva's guard.
Silva knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Maker on the ground.

Maker cracks Silva with a solid left hand.
Silva might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Maker in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Maker makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Silva could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Maker trying to control the position from guard on top but Silva is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Maker is in close to Silva's body, working some short punches and elbows.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Maker throws a big right hand that misses.
Silva wants to stand up but Maker is controlling him.
Silva is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Maker trying to control the position from guard on top but Silva is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Maker drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Maker seems to have locked his on tight now - Silva screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Maker, as he picks up the win!
