Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jakz Skedol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Mir! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jakz Skedol! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mir walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Skedol scores with a body shot.
Skedol throws out a powerful jab. No luck with that takedown attempt from Mir. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Skedol, as that shot connected.
Mir will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Skedol connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Mir's hands. Mir clinches up against the cage. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Skedol breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mir ducks under a wild hook from Skedol. Mir fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Skedol misses with a straight right. Mir fails with a takedown attempt from distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Mir. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mir fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Mir keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Mir slips a jab and a cross from Skedol.
Mir tries to close the distance and clinch up but Skedol swats him away and circles back towards the center. Skedol is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Skedol lands with a hook. Mir tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Skedol lands a slapping body shot.
Mir shoots in for a takedown but Skedol shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Mir fails with the takedown. Mir with a poor takedown and Skedol counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Mir is breathing heavily. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Skedol scores with a hook to the body. Mir takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Skedol misses with a series of wild punches.
Skedol misses with a double jab.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nice cross by Skedol. Mir fails to land with a series of punches.
Skedol scores with a one two! Mir had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Mir takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Skedol scores with a hook to the body. Mir takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Skedol fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Skedol throws a right and a left that both miss. Jakz Skedol is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Mir takes a body punch but keeps moving. Skedol catches Mir with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Skedol misses with a jab, cross combination.
Skedol lands a really nice looking cross but Mir seems unphased.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A head kick misses from Mir. Mir takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Mir takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Skedol lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Skedol rushes Mir with punches - Mir moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Mir goes down! Skedol follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jakz Skedol!
