Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kenshiro Yamamoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Glenn Kenny (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kenshiro Yamamoto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Glenn Kenny!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Taro Takaoka and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kenny shoots for a takedown but Yamamoto saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Yamamoto looks for a takedown but Kenny sprawls well.
Kenny needs to keep his hands up - Yamamoto had a free shot at his head there.
Kenny fails with an attempt to clinch.

Kenny closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Yamamoto is looking to reverse the position.
Kenny tries to move to mount but Yamamoto blocks the move with his legs.

Kenny is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Yamamoto has escaped the position, nice work there.
Kenny is looking to take a break and control but Yamamoto is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Yamamoto can't do much from the bottom here.

Kenny swings around for an armbar but Yamamoto sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Kenny's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kenny manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Yamamoto tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Yamamoto shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Kenny tries to lock up and control but Yamamoto gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kenny tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Kenny is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Yamamoto stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Kenny gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Yamamoto counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Kenny wants to get back to full guard.

Yamamoto is looking for a kimura here.

Kenny is trying to control but can't.
Kenny works his way to full guard. Good work.
Kenny is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Kenny trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Kenny is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Kenny wants to sweep here but Yamamoto controlling him for the moment.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Yamamoto throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kenny's waist but Kenny gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Yamamoto off to one side.
Kenny shoots and misses

and Yamamoto counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Kenshiro Yamamoto has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Glenn Kenny.
Kenny wants to stand and escape but Yamamoto is having none of it.
Yamamoto wants to control from the top but Kenny keeps moving.

Kenny is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Yamamoto is controlling him.
Kenny avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Kenny throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Yamamoto trying to control the position from guard on top but Kenny is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Yamamoto is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Kenny is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Yamamoto drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Yamamoto advances to mount.
Kenny wants to control but Yamamoto is having none of it.
Kenny regains half guard.

Kenny is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Yamamoto pulls his head out easily.

Yamamoto is working for a submission of some sort.
Yamamoto with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Yamamoto winds up and cracks Kenny with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kenshiro Yamamoto dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Kenny pushes Yamamoto off and gets back to his feet.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Kenny is looking for a triangle but Yamamoto pushes his legs off easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Kenny had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Yamamoto is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Kenny Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Yamamoto's back instead.
Kenny tries to get the hooks in deep but Yamamoto pushed the leg off.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Yamamoto trying to control the action but Kenny just sinks the hooks in.
Kenny lands punches and elbows.
Yamamoto avoids the strikes from Kenny.

Kenny has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Yamamoto has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Yamamoto can't escape the position.
Yamamoto has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Kenny.
Kenny is punishing Yamamoto with strikes - can he finish him?!

Kenny looking for the rear naked choke. And he's got it! Yamamoto taps!
