Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Brad Ryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Colt Riley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryan comes to the cage accompanied by Freestyler. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ryan circles away from the clinch attempt.
Riley tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Ryan walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Riley checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Riley has Ryan up against the cage in a clinch.
Ryan wants a takedown.
Nice body punch from Riley - that landed with a thud.

An uppercut to the body lands inside from Riley.
Ryan can't get the takedown.
Riley is pressed up against the cage. Ryan has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Riley down to the mat. Riley avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Ryan shoots in for a takedown but Riley shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Riley breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Ryan tries to score with a low kick but Riley moves his leg out of the way.
Riley just misses with a punch to the body.
Riley smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Ryan is rocked!

Riley digs a good hook to Ryan's body.
Oh Ryan is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Riley throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Ryan's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Riley dives in looking to finish as Ryan flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Riley's strikes! Riley is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Ryan's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Ryan was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
