Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gaston Souffrant!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ken Shamwow!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Chad Campbell and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Souffrant throws a sloppy head kick and Shamwow moves out of range easily.

Shamwow shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Souffrant's guard.
Shamwow trying to control but Souffrant is working from the bottom.
Souffrant is looking to sweep but instead, Shamwow has passed into half guard.
Shamwow uses his free foot to push down on Souffrant's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Souffrant.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Shamwow cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Souffrant is looking to get to half guard.
Shamwow with a couple of short strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Souffrant working to try and regain half guard.
Shamwow looking to control but Souffrant is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Souffrant tries to reverse the position but Shamwow maintains control.
Souffrant manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Shamwow prevents Souffrant from improving his position.
Souffrant on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Souffrant wants to get back to full guard.
Souffrant is working hard here to advance position.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Souffrant throws a sloppy head kick and Shamwow moves out of range easily.
Shamwow feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Souffrant working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Shamwow doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Souffrant is tightening it up a little... Shamwow has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Shamwow reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Shamwow taps out! nice BJJ there by Souffrant!
