Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Killer Boom! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Get Ready! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Felipe Paraventi and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ready clinches up with Boom and pushes him back against the cage. Boom has picked Ready up - he's going for a ride! Boom dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Ready is trying to maintain the position but Boom is very close to passing his half guard. Boom prevents Ready from improving his position. Ready trying to control here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Killer Boom just wasn't active enough. Boom changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ready looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Ready tries to buck Boom off but Boom is having none of it. Boom is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Ready tries to bench press Boom off him but Boom keeps the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. You can see the frustration on Ready's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Boom knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ready on the ground. Ready is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Boom's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Still in half guard, Boom seems content to control. Ready tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Boom has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Ready is looking to improve his position but Boom isn't that keen on the idea. Boom blocks Ready's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Ready really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ready is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Boom sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Boom has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Ready sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Boom looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Ready trying to control here.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Boom bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ready is looking for a sweep. Ready gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Killer Boom dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Boom darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Boom content to control rather than advance. Ready wants to improve his position but Boom is controlling well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ready wants to control but Boom is keeping busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Boom prevents Ready from improving his position. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Boom in particular looking to stall.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Boom shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Ready looking to hit a scissor sweep but Boom is one step ahead there. Boom is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Boom trying to control the position from guard on top but Ready is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Boom controlling from the top position. Ready is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Boom is trying to get back to full guard. Boom is trying to control but Ready manages to pass to mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ready misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Ready wants to control the pace but Boom is squirming around nicely. Boom doing his best to control the position. Can he escape? Boom wants to hold on but Ready pushes him away. Poor strikes thrown by Ready there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Boom wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Ready.
Ready with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Ready wants to control the pace but Boom is squirming around nicely. Ready is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ready thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Killer Boom will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Ready feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Boom controls Ready momentarily but Ready frees himself. Ready trying to stand up but can't free himself from Boom's guard. Boom lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Ready! Boom controlling his opponent. Boom misses with a head shot.

Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Boom avoids the attempt from Ready to control. Ready is trying desperately to improve position. Boom controlling his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ready bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Ready wants to pass the guard but Boom is keeping the position. Boom striking off his back but it's not causing Ready any problems. Ready would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Boom controls Ready momentarily but Ready frees himself.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Boom gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Get Ready was stalling too much, according to the referee. Ready shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Ready was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ready looking to control but Boom is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
And that's the end of the fight! Get Ready comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Boom has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
