Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dave Damented (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roninga Dogg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dave Damented!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Roninga Dogg!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Ian Loll and Trevor Gratis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dogg fails with a takedown attempt.
Damented thumps Dogg with a low kick.
Damented fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Dogg throws a combination. Damented tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Dogg feints and then cracks Damented's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Damented down.
Damented fails with a takedown attempt.
Damented doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Dogg counters with a head kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dave Damented. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Dogg shoots in and drives through. Damented sprawls well.

Damented goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

It looks like Roninga Dogg has been cut.

Dogg rushes Damented and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Damented manages to break the clinch.
Damented swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Damented bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Damented trying to control the action but Dogg is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dogg is looking for a sweep.
Dogg looks gassed!

Dogg sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Dogg tries to kick Damented off but Damented keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Damented looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Damented drops an elbow to the side of Dogg's head.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Dogg has hold of Damented's hands but Damented slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Damented has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Dogg has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Damented is working away from the top position though.
Damented perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Damented seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Dogg wants to control but Damented is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Damented throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Dogg was covering up waiting for the punch and Damented finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Dogg is trying to hold Damented in close to prevent damage but Damented has managed to pass into half guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Damented working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

That's time! Damented's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

No luck for Damented with that takedown attempt.
Damented connects with a solid leg kick.
No joy there for Damented, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Dogg throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Damented's waist but Damented gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dogg off to one side.
Dogg wants to clinch
and Damented counters with a nice low kick that buckles Dogg's knee momentarily.
Damented lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Dogg tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Damented paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Dogg is trying hard to land a takedown here. Damented sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Damented lands an overhand right.
Damented tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Dogg paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Damented moves into range and clinches up with Dogg.

Damented escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Dogg gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Damented holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Dave Damented has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roninga Dogg.

Damented successfully pulls guard.
Damented is looking to stand up but Dogg isn't so interested in that idea.

Damented pushes Dogg off and scrambles back to his feet.

Dogg shoots in for a takedown but Damented shows good takedown defense.

Damented shoots in and gets a takedown into Dogg's guard.

Damented is pushing down on Dogg's leg trying to pass to half guard. Dogg is fighting to maintain full guard but Damented has managed to sneak the leg through.

We're going to have a standup here because Dave Damented wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Damented keeps the fight on the outside.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Dogg.
Damented moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Damented shoots in but no luck this time.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Dogg throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Damented counters with an inside leg kick.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Dogg enables Damented to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Dogg manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Damented gets to his feet - Dogg follows without any prompting.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Dogg stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dogg wants it to stay on the feet.
Damented fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Dogg avoids it really well and circles away.

Dogg closes the distance and clinches.

Damented gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Dogg throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Damented escapes and throws Dogg's legs to the side, diving into side control!

You can see the frustration on Dogg's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Dogg might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Damented kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Damented controls the position.
Dave Damented overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Dogg bucks up and tries to throw Damented off but instead Damented has got his back!

Dogg is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Damented.

Damented seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Dogg for as long as he can get away with.

Damented lands a big shot there that rocks Dogg but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Damented has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Dogg's face.

Dogg tries to lock up and control but Damented gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Roninga Dogg has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Dave Damented is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Damented takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Well Damented has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
