Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ricky Morton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vic Bauer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Morton comes to the cage accompanied by Rock N Roll-Led Zeppelin. Bauer is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Europe's "The Final Countdown". This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ricky Morton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 11 - 1, fighting out of New York, Vic Bauer!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Jonathan Paton and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morton blocks a low kick nicely.
Bauer swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Morton moves out of range of the strikes.
Bauer misses with a double jab.
Morton takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Bauer swats away the attempt to clinch by Morton.
A jab from Morton misses.
Bauer will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Bauer has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Morton.

Morton scores with a spinning back kick!

Bauer shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Morton tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Bauer tries to sprawl but Morton drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Bauer is trying to stand up here but Morton is controlling him well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Morton seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bauer does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Morton wants to pass to mount but Bauer is defending the position.
Morton moves into full mount! Bauer won't be happy about that!
Morton fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Morton looking to control but Bauer is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Bauer really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Bauer wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Morton.

Morton is trying to control. Bauer wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Morton wants to free his trapped foot but Bauer is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Morton looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Morton perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Bauer won't allow Morton to pass to mount.
Morton is keen to just control but Bauer is a slippery customer.

Morton is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Bauer wants to get back to full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Bauer avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Morton.

Morton seems to be working for a kimura but Bauer defends the submission attempt.
Morton not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Bauer checks the leg kick.
Bauer fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Bauer just misses with a punch to the body.
Bauer throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Bauer misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Morton.
Nice sprawl there from Bauer as Morton shoots in.
Bauer connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Morton avoids the body shot from Bauer.
Bauer misses with a two punch combination.
Morton thuds a left hand into Bauer's body.
Morton finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Morton fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Bauer has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Morton blocks a head kick by Bauer.
Vic Bauer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Morton loads up on a big right hand but Bauer slips the punch.
Bauer scores with a three punch combo!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Morton fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Bauer checks it well.
Vic Bauer seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Bauer fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Morton manages to avoid it.
Morton lands a nice hook to Bauer's body. Bauer takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Morton, as that shot connected.
Bauer lands with a hook. Morton tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Morton feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Bauers jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Bauer moves out of range of the leg kick from Morton.
Bauer bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Morton's head.
Bauer tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Morton was well out of range. Poor timing from Bauer.
Morton looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Bauer is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Morton rather than just go for the knockout.
Bauer lands with an uppercut that bounces Morton off the cage and back into rage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Morton moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Morton misses with an uppercut
letting Bauer counter with a right hand.


Morton is rocked!
Bauer connects with an inside leg kick.
Oh Morton is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
A big right followed by a crushing left from Bauer knocks Morton out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:04 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Vic Bauer!
