PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chris Lappin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Duarte Madeiros (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chris Lappin looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Excellent takedown into side control there by Madeiros. Madeiros looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Madeiros working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Madeiros thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Madeiros prevents Lappin from escaping the position. Lappin is breathing heavily. Madeiros has hold of Lappin's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Lappin seems comfortable defending it but Madeiros has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Lappin is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Lappin is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Madeiros couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Duarte Madeiros!
